Radical Learners is an asynchronous learning platform where educators can learn at their own speed, pause a lesson when needed, re-watch a lesson for a refresher, and post questions and thoughts for other learners in a shared community space. Developed by Jim Knight and Jenny Ryschon-Knight and the Instructional Coaching Group, the content of each course is based on 20+ years of instructional coaching research.
The structure of Radical Learners courses is designed to provide content and resources in easily digestible videos, helping remove complexities that may otherwise make PD overwhelming.
With content primarily organized by Parts, and further organized by Lessons, learners can jump straight to areas where they need guidance more immediately.
A one-time enrollment fee per course stretches PD funding further, and the Thinkific app allows all learners to access their course whenever and wherever they like, with no expiration date.
As courses are completed, learners will receive a certificate to document credit hours.
Radical Learners offers educators a new way to access powerful ideas from top practitioners and industry thought leaders.
Educators know the unique needs of their classrooms and should have the ability to choose the PD that will create the most positive impact on their students’ learning lives.
It is too often the case, though, that professional learning takes a backseat, getting caught up in budget-approvals and other red tape.
Each on-demand course consists of 20+ lessons that range from 5-7 minutes in length. These hyper-focused and bite-size videos allow viewers instant access to content that is applicable immediately.
The best part is: courses are offered on an educator-friendly budget. Radical Learners is a library of expert-led resources that will be a must-have for all educators.
Radical Learners courses qualify for graduate-level credits through the University of the Pacific—no additional coursework required! Learn more here.
